Bobbits Lane has become an issue to many residents who walk and enjoy the area, as well as allotment holders. Individuals on motor bikes have been using it as a trials area, to such an extent that trials bikes are coming to the site in vans and creating nuisance to local residents and on top of this there have been reported incidents of fly tipping. The anti-social behaviour has been reported to our Police Safer Neighbourhood Team and it has been confirmed that their presence has been noticed and they have been in discussion with land owners to find ways of putting an end to this thoughtless behaviour. There have been consultations with Wherstead Parish Council on the same issue. The problem of illegal off road motorcycling will need to be addressed from various angles. Many motor cycle riders who have been spoken to, either believe that they are allowed to ride there or have been told that they can do so by other riders. This is clearly not the case. Both Pigeon Investments and the Greenways Project are fully supportive of producing a joint warning/advisory letter with Suffolk Police to be served by hand to riders found at this location or sent to the registered keepers of vehicles used to transport off road motorcycles to the area.
